Privacy Policy

Blackwood Asylum is a Roblox roleplay community. This page explains what we collect when you link your accounts on blackwoodasylum.com or use our Discord bot, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• From Roblox: your user ID, username, display name and avatar image, through Roblox’s official sign-in. We also check whether you’re a member of the Blackwood Asylum Roblox group.
• From Discord: your user ID and username, through Discord’s official login.
• From our Roblox game: when you join and leave a server, which server, when you’re idle (AFK), team changes, and the chat messages you send in game.
• Moderation records: warnings, bans and other actions staff take, with the reason.
• Records we create: when your accounts were linked or changed, and a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in to this site for up to 30 days.

We never see or store your Roblox or Discord passwords, email address, payment details, private messages or friends list.

Why we use it

• To verify that your Discord account belongs to your Roblox account.
• To give you the right roles and nickname in our Discord server.
• To keep our community safe: staff use game activity and chat to investigate reports and enforce the rules.
• To show staff playtime and activity for running the community.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or share your information. It’s stored with the services that run this site: Cloudflare (hosting) and Neon (database). Our bot sends role and nickname changes to Discord, and posts moderation actions in a staff-only Discord channel. Game bans are applied through Roblox. Only Blackwood staff can see activity, chat and moderation records.

How long we keep it

In-game chat is deleted after 90 days, and other game activity after one year. Moderation records are kept so repeat offences can be handled fairly. Linked accounts are kept for as long as you’re part of the community. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; we’ll remove your linked accounts, activity and chat, but may keep moderation records where they’re needed to keep the community safe.

Your choices

• Sign out of this site at any time from the link page.
• Remove our access from your Roblox and Discord account settings (Authorized Apps).
• Ask a member of Blackwood Administration in our Discord server to see or delete your data.

Children

You must meet Roblox’s and Discord’s own age requirements to use them, and so to use this site. We collect the minimum needed for verification.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
